  9. Introduction:
  10. -------------
  11.   ModInfo and ModServer is two AREXX scripts to use with AmIRC. Their 
  12. purpose is to enhance the IRC experience for Mod freaks. ModInfo is a little
  13. script for telling everyone what mod you're playing at the moment. ModServer
  14. is a script for fetching and querying about modules.

  24.   (Mods Anthology and a CDRom for the neat features)

  37. Installation:
  38. -------------

  40. 1.  Copy the scripts and the names.txt files to the AmIRC rexx directory 
  41.     (preferably). You can keep them elsewhere if you like. 
  42.  
  43. 2.  Edit the authorpath in both ModInfo.amirx and ModServer.amirx to the 
  44.     location you keep the #?names.txt files.
  45.  
  46. 3.  In ModServer.amirx, edit ownnick to your own and temppath to where 
  47.     you want to keep the lha files you're gonna send.
  48.  
  49. 4.  In AmIRC, change CTCP request in Setup/Events to: ModServer.amirx %p and
  50.     in Setup/Actions you can have ModInfo on a label and the operation
  51.     /rx ModInfo.amirx on it.

  53. 5.  Finished!!!

  56. Usage:
  57. ------
  58.   When you push the button labeled ModInfo something like this will appear:

  60. «Action» | Shades is playing art of undulation  by: Fash.
  61.  
  62. That is if you use Delitracker and Mods Anthology. The output when using
  63. Hippoplayer is something like this:
  64.  
  65. «Action» | Shades is playing art of undulation size: 203K
  66.  
  67. The ModServer will act like a server where people can see what module you
  68. are playing. The command is /ctcp yournick modinfo. The output from that
  69. query will be msg:ed to that person.
  70. They will alse be able to fetch modules, both packed and unpacked. The
  71. command to use is /ctcp yournick getmod and /ctcp yournick getmodunpack.

  76. Hmmm... Well... It seems that modnames with spaces in them will cause 
  77. trouble with the getmod command.
